Brooklyn Botanical Gardens
The renowned Botanical Gardens, called a “Garden within a garden”, is located across the street from Prospect Park. The gardens hold plant collections, a bonsai museum, 3 climate-themed plant pavilions, a white cast iron and glass aquatic plan house, and an art gallery.
Prospect Park South is home to many modern restaurants and cafes, which all offer differing fairs which should satiate any pallet. Prospect park also houses a zoo right in the heart of Brooklyn. The Zoo is home to California Sea Lions, to Baboons, Alpacas, Red Pandas, and even Dingos.
The 585-acre Prospect Park is the flagship park of Brooklyn. Designed by the same Frederick Olmsted who designed Central Park. The park includes a 90 acre meadow, multiple baseball and soccer fields, beautiful nature trails, stunning ponds, and a wraparound running path with beautiful scenic views available both day and night.
